Group Bookkeeper

You will work closely with leadership and operations teams to maintain accurate financial records, streamline systems, and support impactful decision-making through clear financial reporting. Key Responsibilities
Weekly Bookkeeping
  • Manage tenant/client invoicing, recharge invoices, and credit control
  • Import bills via Dext and ApprovalMax, ensuring accurate coding and approvals
  • Coordinate Telleroo payment runs and approval workflows
  • Conduct supplier payments and manage receipt tracking
  • Perform bank reconciliations across group entities
  • Maintain accurate intercompany balances and deferred income records
  • Track rental income, expenditure, and ensure correct financial allocations
  • Resolve internal and external queries via shared finance inboxes
Systems & Process Management
  • Optimise the use of Xero, Dext, ApprovalMax, and Telleroo
  • Manage user access and permissions
  • Support automation and workflow improvements with the Senior Bookkeeper
  • Ensure data integrity across financial and property systems
Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare weekly reports: cash position, debtors, and outstanding bills
  • Support monthly finance meetings with clean, prepared data
  • Assist in VAT submissions and ensure UK compliance
  • Reconcile divisional and property-level performance data
  • Create visual dashboards in tools like Power BI or Trevor.io
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Xero Certified Advisor
  • Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience in a multi-entity environment
  • Strong understanding of intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Proficient in Dext, ApprovalMax, Telleroo, and Excel
  • Familiarity with UK VAT and quarterly submissions
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Access to a laptop/PC and stable internet connection

Desirable:

  • Experience in property, housing, or social impact sectors
  • Knowledge of finance workflows and system automation
  • Analytical mindset with interest in visual reporting and dashboards
