Own strategic customer relationship to boost profitable category growth with Customers, in line with our ambitions by Negotiating Joint Business Plans, leveraging all relevant customer stakeholders and internal processes. Getting these Plans executed effectively through the customer and operations teams. Delivering growth for Mars and target business shape in line with the growth agenda. Management and Development of the team.
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing or similar
A minimum of 10 years’ experience as National Key Account Manager in FMCG or related roles
Commercial acumen
Shoprite account management experience will be advantageous
Proven negotiation and selling skills
Advanced communication skills
Conflict management experience
Proven track record in managing a team
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in managing a direct team
Be category partner of choice with the customers
Own customer plans/Joint Business plans with account to boost category growth, sales, customer market shares and margin
Own the customer P&L to deliver on target business shape
Responsible for the annual trading terms of all customers in scope
Own category and brand execution in-store at account in the context of Perfect Store by
Delivering the right assortment and NPD meeting target WD levels
Develop a tailored promo/support plan in line with the segment requirements
Creating great visibility on shelf, and off shelf (e.g. POI) customer/channel specific
Own Customer volume forecast accuracy (baseline, NPD and promo) other channels: identifying new business opportunities
Lead, coach and develop a team of Customer Development Managers
Through sales analysis provide the business with data insights and analytics required to run their business.
Drive compliance to Mars QMP (Quality Management Processes) standards
