Job summary

Old Mutual invites graduates to join its Governance, Risk & Compliance Internship Programme in Johannesburg. The role focuses on building skills in risk management, regulatory compliance, and internal audit through a blend of theoretical and practical experience.

Selected candidates will support development of risk strategies, assist with compliance monitoring, and participate in audits while collaborating with multiple teams to strengthen governance across the organisation.

Qualifications

• South African matric with Math/Math Lit and 2 languages.
• 3-year qualification (NQF6 equivalent) in Risk, Compliance and/or Internal Audit with at least 60%.
• Preference for candidates from previously disadvantaged communities.
• South African citizenship, medical certificate for disabled candidates.
• No more than 1 year of work experience, clear credit and criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of risk management strategies.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting compliance with laws and regulations.
• Participate in audits and assessments to uphold governance standards.
• Collaborate with teams to identify and mitigate risks across units.
• Contribute to design and enforcement of compliance policies.

Education

3-year qualification (NQF6 equivalent) in Risk, Compliance, and/or Internal Audit with a minimum of 60% final average
