About the Role

Our client, a creative design studio located in the heart of Paarl, Western Cape, ZA , is seeking talented and imaginative individuals for a Graphic Design Apprenticeship. This hybrid position allows you to immerse yourself in the world of visual communication, learning from a team of award-winning designers. You will gain hands‑on experience in developing compelling visual assets for a variety of media, including branding, digital platforms, print materials, and marketing campaigns. The apprenticeship blends in-office collaboration and creative feedback sessions with the flexibility of remote work. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior designers in creating visual concepts and layouts for various projects.
• Develop graphic assets for digital platforms, including social media, websites, and advertisements.
• Prepare designs for print production, ensuring correct specifications and formats.
• Learn and utilize industry‑standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Collaborate with the design team on branding projects, logo development, and identity systems.
• Ensure all designs align with client briefs and brand guidelines.
• Assist in retouching images and preparing files for final output.

Requirements

• A strong portfolio showcasing creative talent and design potential (even personal projects are welcome).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to receive and incorporate constructive feedback.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Must be eligible to work in South Africa and commit to the hybrid work schedule in Paarl, Western Cape, ZA .
• A diploma or degree in Graphic Design or a related field is advantageous, but not strictly required if a strong portfolio is presented.
• A proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards learning and design.
• Ability to work effectively both in the studio and remotely.
