Placements24 is hiring a Grant Writer & Researcher for a fully remote role within South Africa, including Sandton-area initiatives. You will identify funding opportunities, research potential donors, and craft compelling proposals to secure funding for sustainable development and poverty alleviation projects.

The role requires exceptional writing, research and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple proposals across regions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Grant Writer or similar role.
• Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Strong research and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in researching grant databases, directories, and corporate giving programmes.
• Familiarity with grant funding cycles and proposal formats.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Experience with CRM or grant management software is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Non-profit Management, or related field.
• Passion for the mission and ability to translate it into compelling narratives.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and research potential grant funding sources, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
