Objectives of the programme
The overarching objective of the graduate program is to transition graduates from a higher learning institution to a work environment.
We aim to help graduates become well-rounded young professionals with great prospects and a positive future.
Data Collection
- Support the Political, Economic Analysis and Research Unit ("PEAR") in collating economic and political information for the assessment of risk events that might have impact on export and trade credit as well as investment transactions
- Source country, industry and commodity markets information
- Maintain macroeconomic and commodity information databases, including medium-term projections
Data Processing
- Apply Country Risk Assessment Model to assess the ability and willingness of the sovereign to meet foreign financial obligations
- Apply Credit Exposure Limits Model to determine the maximum risk taking per country and sector
- Apply Commercial Risk Assessment Model to rate projects
- Apply Risk Pricing Methodologies to determine insurance premium quotations
- Compile and manage a register for premium enquiries
Report Compilation
- Research and compile political and economic information reports for country and industry risk monitoring
- Compile country risk reports
- Compile industry reports
- Compile market outlook reports
What we expect from you
- You need to have a BCom Economics or International Finance and Trade Degree
- A postgraduate degree will be advantageous
- Applicant should be unemployed South African citizens under the age of thirty-five and have not benefited from any internship previously and preferably from the formerly disadvantaged groups
