Placements24 is seeking a motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineer in Welkom to join our engineering team. You will apply theoretical knowledge to real-world mechanical systems, working under experienced engineers and contributing to design, development and implementation efforts.

You will gain hands-on experience with diverse projects, CAD drawing tasks, and exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies, while developing professionally within a safety-conscious environment in the Free State.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with engineering simulation tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical components and systems.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD software.
• Support project engineers in the planning and execution of engineering projects.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support for mechanical installations and maintenance.
• Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving for mechanical equipment and processes.
