Job summary

Placements24 is seeking Graduate Mechanical Drafters to join the design and engineering team in Mahikeng. The role focuses on producing precise 2D and 3D drawings and models based on engineering designs, contributing to the product development lifecycle.

You will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard CAD tools and work under mentorship from experienced engineers, supporting a range of mechanical design and manufacturing projects in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in mechanical engineering or drafting.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of mechanical components, assemblies and manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail in technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models using CAD software.
• Ensure drawings meet company standards, industry codes and client specs.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to review designs and incorporate revisions.
• Assist in creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
• Maintain organized drawing files and version control in a digital environment.
