Job summary

Rand Water invites unemployed graduates to join the Graduate Internship Programme for Town and Regional Planning. This three-year fixed-term contract provides hands-on training within Rand Water's planning teams, guided by statutory councils.

Applicants should hold a BSc Town Planning from an accredited university, be a South African citizen with a valid SA ID, and be under 35. A Code 08 driver's licence is an advantage; appointments will align with Employment Equity.

Qualifications

• Suitably qualified in Town Planning from accredited Universities (BSc Town Planning).
• Unemployed.
• A valid Code 08 drivers’ licence will be an advantage.
• Appointments will be made in the context of Employment Equity.
• Must be a South African Citizen in possession of a valid SA ID.
• Must be under the age of 35 (aligned with the NSDS III).
• Academic record aligned to academic requirements for professional registration with ECSA, SAGC, SACPLAN, SACNASP and SACPCMP.
• Registered as a candidate with the respective Councils will be an advantage.
• Shortlisted applicants will be subjected to assessments, security clearance, qualification verification and will be required to produce original qualification certificates and academic transcripts /statement of results

Responsibilities

• During the training, graduates will be expected to successfully demonstrate all proficiencies as determined by respective statutory councils (ECSA, SAGC, SACPLAN, SACNASP, SACPCMP)
