Qualifications

• Business-related National Diploma or Degree in Insurance/Risk Management, Finance, Business Management, Economics and/or Accounting advantageous.
• Previous working experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured learning and development programme covering financial planning, products, regulatory requirements and client engagement.
• Develop an understanding of the financial planning process and the delivery of holistic financial advice.
• Build proficiency in adviser systems and tools.
• Support advisers in preparing for client engagements, including research, financial planning administration and documentation.
• Observe and participate in client meetings to gain practical exposure to the advice process.
• Assist with the preparation and implementation of financial planning recommendations.
• Support practice management activities, including client servicing, relationship management and business administration.
• Develop prospecting and business development skills to support future client acquisition.
• Work alongside experienced advisers, mentors and Development Managers to build practical capability and professional confidence.
• Complete programme assessments and competency milestones throughout the development journey.
• Apply the knowledge gained through structured learning within a live BlueStar practice environment.
• Demonstrate the behaviours, competencies and professionalism expected of a Sanlam Connect Financial Adviser.
