Brenntag South Africa is looking for passionate, driven graduates to join our Graduate Development Programme, which offers one year of structured work experience, professional exposure, and personal growth within the chemical industry.

We are seeking graduates in the following disciplines:

  • Commercial / Business: Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, or Business Management
  • Quality & Regulatory: Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Laboratory Techniques, or ISO9001:2008 QMS Certification
  • Finance: Accounting, Finance, or related business qualifications

This programme will provide successful candidates with meaningful, hands‑on experience in their chosen discipline and a strong foundation for future career development within Brenntag.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on your field of placement, your responsibilities may include:

  • Maintaining safety standards and housekeeping principles in line with Brenntag’s policies.
  • Assisting with laboratory testing, calibration, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Supporting regulatory documentation, supplier compliance, and product quality audits.
  • Contributing to commercial operations, customer engagement, and business development initiatives.
  • Assisting the finance team with reporting, reconciliations, and financial data analysis.
  • Participating in a structured 12-month Work Readiness Programme designed to build technical and professional skills.
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • NQF Level 6 or 7 qualification in one of the following:
  • Commercial / Business: Marketing, Business Management, Supply Chain, or Sales
  • Quality & Regulatory: Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Laboratory Techniques, or ISO9001:2008 QMS Certification
  • Finance: Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Self‑motivated with a proactive approach
  • Resilience and commitment to completing the 12‑month learning programme
