Job summary

Impala Platinum is offering a Graduate Intern position for Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering at our Springs operations. The 24-month training program provides exposure to the PGM industry, with hands-on experiences in production environments, safety and process improvements.

The successful candidate will complete required training, submit training reports, and provide technical support to operational areas to help meet the business plan and targets.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 7 qualification in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy.
• Strong understanding of Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical principles.
• Medically fit for operations (Concentrator / Smelting / PMR / BMR) and related environments.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 24-month internship training program enhancing knowledge of the PGM industry and exposure to engineering, safety and managerial aspects in production.
• Attend required training & development interventions.
• Submit reports as per training requirements.
• Provide technical support to operational areas to meet business plans and targets.
