Responsibilities
- Management of all bank accounts and ensuring available funds for payments.
- The preparation of bank reconciliations consistently and time on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for accounts (i.e., All LS Accounts).
- The balancing and reconciliation of daily store monetary movement to the bank statement as per SOP RT-DYENDCNT-.
- Providing the FM with the monthly bank reconciliations and ensuring that all reconciling items are timeously cleared.
- The reconciliation and accounting for all corporate credit cards.
- Preparing and updating the daily cash flow schedule and ensuring that the daily banked sales and payment amounts are included and that the account balances to the bank statement.
- Measuring actual cash flows vs. forecast cash flows for the month and forecasted year.
- Loading daily, monthly, and weekly payments onto the FNB, or if required onto Standard Bank site.
- Preparing all forex documents to submit to FNB/Standard Bank.
- Preparing all balance sheet reconciliations for those balance sheet accounts designated, on the month‑end checklist, as those accounts to be controlled and managed by the accountant.
- Ensuring that all reconciling items are cleared, addressed with all parties and signed off monthly.
- Managing the fixed asset accounting for the company, including continual updates and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register, depreciation and wear‑and‑tear workings, collection and filing of all CAPEX invoices, and balancing of CAPEX to the agreed budgets.
- Ensuring that the Fixed Asset register agrees to the general ledger and taking action should any difference occur.
- Assisting the FM/CFO with preparation of any VAT or Income Tax schedule.
- liaising with the PBI (Power BI) preparer daily and ensuring that the PBI recorded sales reconciles to the general ledger and that any reconciling item is timeously resolved.
- Ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly sales are reconciled to the bank accounts and all variances are timeously addressed.
- Preparing and completing accounting and finance spreadsheets, whether for budget/working plans, forecasts, or other finance analysis as required and directed by the FM, and/or CFO.
- Assisting with preparation of the year‑end audit file and the preparation of all schedules as required.
- Preparing any finance report as and when required.
- Continuously searching for value‑adding strategies to benefit the company.
- Maintaining strong financial acumen in the preparation and capturing of financial information.
- Ensuring goals/deadlines are achieved.
- Proactively participating in upgrading internal controls and their adherence.
- Assisting with ad‑hoc projects and duties as required.
- Assisting the finance department when other team members are on leave and ensuring an understanding of all finance department roles and responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Finance or a relevant tertiary qualification – obtain at least an average of 65%.
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Reliable, growth‑learning mindset, diligent, great attention to detail, pro‑active, team player.
