Role Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Governance Support Procurement to join our procurement team at Lactalis SA, a leading dairy manufacturing company. The Governance Support Procurement will be responsible for overseeing procurement processes related to indirect materials, packaging, and ingredients. This role includes managing invoices, onboarding vendors and new items, tracking KPIs, contract management, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of procurement governance.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years relevant experience
  • Understanding of procurement processes and governance related to indirect materials, packaging, and ingredients.
  • Experience in managing and processing invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of vendor onboarding processes and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to define and track key performance indicators with suppliers
  • Experience in managing and tracking supplier contracts.
  • Strong analytical skills to perform basic analytics and support procurement decisions.
  • Ability to collect and manage indices related to procurement materials.
  • Experience in sourcing suppliers for low threshold spends
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the processing and management of invoices to ensure accuracy and timely payment.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new vendors and items, ensuring all necessary documentation and compliance requirements are met.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) with the supplier base to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Manage and track contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance and timely renewals.
  • Perform basic analytics to support procurement decisions and track performance metrics.
  • Collect and manage indices related to procurement materials to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Source suppliers for low threshold spends, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Manage e-auction tools to facilitate competitive bidding and procurement processes.
  • Track and manage buyer savings projects to ensure cost reductions and efficiency improvements.
  • Facilitate procurement-related projects across stakeholders, ensuring timely completion and alignment with objectives.
  • Coordinate communication across business units to ensure smooth procurement operations.
  • Track and manage supplier documentation, including spends, price evolution, CSR, BBBEE, and audit summaries.
  • Validate specifications between internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Update procurement data and track trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support the global centre of excellence in implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the legal and compliance division to ensure all required legislative documentation is in place.
