Job summary

Alignerr is seeking experienced GRC professionals to help build and evaluate AI systems that reason about security, compliance, and risk. This is a remote hourly contract offering 10-40 hours per week, allowing independent scheduling while contributing to high-impact AI governance.

You will review policies, controls, and compliance procedures, evaluate AI-compliance scenarios against SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF, and assess risk statements and audit-style documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in GRC, compliance, risk management, or information security.
• Familiar with SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF or similar.
• Ability to critique policy documents and audit reports.
• Detail-oriented with precise written reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze security policies, controls, and compliance procedures for accuracy and completeness.
• Evaluate AI-generated compliance scenarios against SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and more.
• Assess risk statements, control mappings, and audit-style documentation.

What You'll Do

• Review and analyze security policies, controls, and compliance procedures for accuracy and completeness
• Evaluate AI-generated compliance scenarios against real-world frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and more)
• Assess risk statements, control mappings, and audit-style documentation
• Generate and validate training and evaluation data to improve AI reasoning in GRC domains
• Provide structured, expert feedback that directly influences AI model quality
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in GRC, compliance, risk management, or information security
• Solid familiarity with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, or similar standards
• Comfortable reading, interpreting, and critiquing policy documents, control matrices, and audit reports
• Detail-oriented with clear, precise written reasoning
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
• Background in information security auditing or third-party risk management
• Relevant certifications (CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, or similar)
