Job summary

Employ Global is looking for an experienced Site and Plant Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations at a 30 TPH small-scale gold mining plant in South Africa. The role includes supervising plant performance, managing site logistics, and leading local teams in a remote environment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in mining operations, strong expertise in gravity-based recovery systems, and proven leadership skills. Full accommodation is provided with scheduled rotations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mining or plant operations.
• Strong practical knowledge of gravity-based recovery systems.
• Proven leadership in remote or small-scale operations.
• Mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Fluent in English; French or Swahili is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise gold processing plant operations (crushing, milling, gravity recovery).
• Ensure consistent throughput and equipment functionality.
• Manage site logistics, ore feed, tailings, and water usage.
• Lead, train, and manage local staff and shift teams.
• Enforce site safety and security protocols.
• Maintain production records and report on plant performance.

Skills
