Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a candidate for a technical sales role focusing on export sales and international trade. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, preferably with experience in the flat glass industry, and possess excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills. A tertiary qualification and fluency in Portuguese are advantageous. This position requires traveling within Southern Africa to foster business relationships and meet sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Meet sales figures as budgeted.
  • Ensure customer quality, service, and price requirements are met.
  • Maintain strong business relationships with allocated customers.
  • Minimize risk in international trade activities.
  • Coordinate freight forwarder and transporter activity.
  • Comply with SARS, SARB & other legislative requirements.
  • Adhere to internal policies while growing customer base.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Manage accounts to meet debtor’s targets.
  • Assess market trends to inform business strategy.
  • Conduct Contract Reviews with new customers or products.
  • Present product training to customers and staff.
  • Drive new marketing initiatives.

Skills

Technical sales experience

Sales experience in export environment
Fluent in Portuguese
