Job summary

Be Different in South Africa is seeking a high-impact Senior Programme Lead to own large, international data centre projects from concept through commissioning. You will drive governance, client relations and cross-geography delivery with RIBA-based models.

You will lead Senior Project Managers and Discipline Leads across multidisciplinary teams, set strategic direction across countries and partners, and ensure project performance in budget, risk and steering committee engagement.

Qualifications

• Ability to collaborate at senior level with clients, partners and colleagues.
• Clear communication; build trust across cultures; lead in complex environments.
• Experience from international data centre projects of 20+ MW.
• Extensive experience with international clients in an English-speaking project environment.
• Familiarity with RIBA stages or equivalent delivery frameworks.
• Leadership experience managing other project managers and senior specialists.
• Experience from engineering consultancy, technical advisory or hyperscale projects.

Responsibilities

• Hold accountability for large, complex international data centre programmes from concept to commissioning.
• Serve as senior client interface, building trust and governance.
• Define delivery models (RIBA-based) with cross-geography consistency.
• Lead Senior Project Managers and Discipline Leads across multidisciplinary teams.
• Set strategic direction across disciplines, countries and partners.
• Accountable for project performance: finances, risk, governance and steering committee engagement.
• Support business development through client dialogue and upselling opportunities.
