London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) in Cape Town seeks a senior commercial lawyer to support FTSE Russell and Risk Intelligence. You will manage legal risk, draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts, and partner with business teams globally to enable product delivery.

The role requires autonomous handling, client service excellence, and collaboration within the Legal & Compliance team. Hybrid working and international exposure are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified lawyer with post-qualification experience in commercial law.
• Experience with sophisticated global corporates.
• Exposure to financial services, technology, data and contracting.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• Strong contract negotiation and drafting abilities.
• Ability to balance legal issues with pragmatic commercial guidance.

Aufgaben

• Provide legal advice to FTSE Russell and Risk Intelligence teams, supporting sales, product and services.
• Review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including licenses and NDAs.
• Advise on data licensing, regulatory issues, and IP matters.
• Support new product development, regulatory changes and strategic initiatives (including AI).
• Coordinate outside counsel and manage legal service providers.
