Placements24 is seeking an experienced AI Product Manager to define the strategy, roadmap, and execution of generative AI products in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will bridge AI research with market needs, leading cross-functional teams across engineering, research, design, and marketing.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in product management, deep Generative AI knowledge (LLMs, diffusion or image models), and strong strategic and communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of launching successful technology products.
• Demonstrated experience with Generative AI technologies, such as Large Language Models (LLMs) or image generation models.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and the AI development lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working with agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with the nuances of launching AI-powered products.

Responsibilities

• Define and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for generative AI solutions.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify unmet needs and product opportunities.
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and product specifications.
• Collaborate closely with AI research and engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Prioritize the product backlog and manage development sprints to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.
• Develop go-to-market strategies and collaborate with marketing and sales teams to launch new products.
• Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and iterate on product features to drive continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in generative AI and their potential applications.
