Job summary

SavageOne Pty Ltd is seeking a data scientist specializing in Generative AI to design, train, and deploy next-generation models across text, image, and video. You will work hands-on with transformers, diffusion models, and GANs to drive product innovation and user experience.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams, optimize latency and throughput, and apply responsible AI practices while handling large-scale datasets and deploying robust ML pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field.
• Proven experience with generative models such as GPT, Stable Diffusion or StyleGAN.
• Proficient in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
• Strong fundamentals in DL, NLP, CV, or multimodal AI systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps best practices.
• Hands-on data processing with Spark, Dask, or similar tools.
• Strong problem-solving and research-oriented mindset.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy GANs, VAEs, diffusion models, and transformers.
• Build scalable AI solutions for content generation across text, image and video.
• Optimize model performance, latency, and inference for production use.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design to embed AI in core products.
• Research latest Generative AI methods and apply findings to improve models.
• Ensure responsible AI development with bias mitigation practices.
• Manage large-scale datasets: acquisition, preprocessing, augmentation, QC.
• Develop robust APIs and ML pipelines to operationalize models.
• Present findings and strategic insights to leadership.
