Job Summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd is seeking a dedicated and reliable General Worker – Technical Workshop Housekeeping to join our technical operations team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment, supporting operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with workplace safety and hygiene standards. This position is vital for creating a conducive environment for technical staff to perform their duties effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the technical workshop, including floors, workbenches, machinery, and equipment.

  • Dispose of waste materials, scrap, and hazardous substances in accordance with safety regulations.

  • Assist with the movement of tools, equipment, and materials within the workshop as required.

  • Support technical staff by preparing the workshop for daily operations.

  • Monitor and report any maintenance needs, damage, or safety hazards to supervisors.

  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of chemicals, oils, and other materials.

  • Adhere to all company policies, health, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Perform additional housekeeping duties as directed by the workshop supervisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks safely.

  • Familiarity with general cleaning equipment and workshop tools is an advantage.

  • Awareness of occupational health and safety standards.

Experience
