Job description

Works with the Health and Safety team and provides support in health and safety-related matters.

Consults with patients prescribing medicine and leading proper treatment.

Coordinates and supervises the site health team.

Maintains records of vaccination and provides guidance based on vaccination protocols of the assigned site.

Coordinates with the site medical facility and arranges for regular inspections by health authorities.

Assists in incident investigations and near-miss reporting.

Provides daily medical guidance on staff health issues.

Ensures the privacy of patients' interests and wellbeing at all times, including patient confidentiality.

Shares specialist clinical knowledge with colleagues and participates in ongoing training, education, and support of staff.

Actively participates in identifying health and safety risk issues.

Accesses and ensures effective use of language systems for people with communication barriers.

Responsible and accountable for decisions related to patient care, following clinical consultation and assessment.

Identifies and responds to life-threatening cases and arranges appropriate ambulance services with available medical facilities.

Advises HSE & management of potential health risks to employees.

Ensures arrangements are in place for patients to be further examined or treated by relevant care providers or hospitals if required.

Handles highly personal, confidential reports properly, in accordance with existing protocols.
