General Manager – Sales & Business Development (Africa)

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving growth across African territories? Our client is seeking an experienced General Manager of Sales to lead commercial operations, expand market share, and build powerful partnerships across the continent.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Drive revenue growth and secure new business across multiple African markets
- Lead key account management and retention of key clients
- Identify and execute strategic partnerships, distribution channels & joint ventures
- Negotiate major contracts and pricing agreements
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team across African regions
- Oversee tenders, bids, and sales operations with commercial & technical teams
- Conduct market research to shape strategy and guide product positioning
- Lead regional planning, budgeting, and performance forecasting
- Ensure customer satisfaction and strong post-sales support
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Sales, Business Development or General Management
- Mining, mineral processing, industrial equipment or similar industry experience
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and leadership skills
- Proven track record growing revenue across multiple African markets
- Tertiary Engineering qualification (Mechanical / Metallurgy / Mineral Processing)
- Business or Marketing qualification – advantage
- Ability to travel extensively across Africa
