Our client, a leading name in luxury fashion retail, is searching for an experienced General Manager to take the helm at their flagship boutique. This sought‑after opportunity is ideal for a dynamic leader who is passionate about contemporary fashion, denim, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. As General Manager, you will oversee the boutique’s daily operations, both in‑store and online, ensuring commercial success, upholding luxury service standards, and managing a motivated team. You will play a key role in driving sales performance, optimising inventory, and creating an inspiring brand experience for South Africa’s most discerning clientele.

Minimum qualifications:
  • 3–5 years management experience in luxury retail (fashion, jewellery, make‑up, or hospitality).
  • Passionate about denim and contemporary fashion with strong commercial acumen.
  • Highly organised, detail‑driven, and digitally savvy (Shopify and Excel proficiency required).
  • Inspirational people manager with exceptional interpersonal and clienteling skills.
  • Proven track record in sales and team leadership.
  • Professional, discreet, and enthusiastic about the luxury retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team to reach daily, monthly, and annual sales targets, including full‑price sell‑through for seasonal goals.
  • Utilise sales analytics and KPIs to inform commercial strategies and collaborate with buyers for future planning.
  • Oversee inventory management, stock flow, and visual merchandising, ensuring bestsellers and new products are showcased.
  • Deliver VIP‑level denim fitting and styling service, building enduring relationships with high‑value clients.
  • Recruit, coach, and inspire the team, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain high standards of boutique operations—cleanliness, security, presentation—and compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Implement effective loss‑prevention and security measures.
  • Support marketing initiatives and social media presence to enhance brand recognition.
