Job description

An experienced General Manager IT/OT Service Delivery is required to provide strategic direction, leadership, and planning for delivery of all information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) operations and services in Johannesburg on a permanent basis.

Minimum Requirements:
  • B Degree/B Tech/Advanced Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Science/Engineering/Business Administration/Business Management at NQF7 with 360 credits
  • Minimum 10 years extensive experience in service delivery, computer operations, data centre management and disaster recovery plan (DRP)/business continuity management (BCM)
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001 for information security, ITIL for IT service management

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet service level agreements (SLAs) and collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Manage and optimize use of service delivery resources
  • Plan and manage service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL)
  • Manage all domain controller (DC) operations for IT and OT
  • Manage all Data Centres (DCs)/Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP)/Business Continuity Management (BCM) operations for IT and OT
  • Manage all service deployment across all technology platforms
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) regarding uptime, response and resolution times
  • Implement proactive measures preventing potential SLA breaches
  • Analyze current and future service demands ensuring adequate resources
  • Implement automation tools and technologies reducing manual activity
  • Develop and implement service delivery strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Streamline processes improving operational efficiencies
  • Lead resolution of service delivery issues and incidents
  • Ensure all production systems run successfully daily
  • Deploy best practice service delivery operating monitoring control room
