Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced General Manager to join a prestigious Luxury Lodge based in Grahamstown Eastern Cape. This is a live‑in position offering a competitive salary of R30000 per month (negotiable depending on experience).

The ideal candidate will be well‑presented and professional with a strong background in lodge or hotel management, exceptional leadership abilities and a passion for delivering world‑class guest experiences.

Requirements

• Matric
• Degree National Diploma or Certificate in Hotel Management (essential)
• Minimum of 5 years experience working at a 5‑star lodge or hotel
• Proven management experience within a similar environment
• Clear understanding of lodge operations
• Computer literate and proficient in MS Office packages
• Proficient in OPERA property management system
• Professional well‑groomed and excellent communication skills
• Strong administrative and operational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities
• Financial acumen with an understanding of budgeting and cost control
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Sound knowledge of Guest Relations, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping and Front Office operations
• Experience using platforms such as Guest Revu and TripAdvisor
• Ability to implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, reputation and profitability
• Exceptional Food & Beverage knowledge
• Passion for training and developing staff
• Understanding of basic labour law and disciplinary procedures
