Job summary

e-Merge IT Recruitment is seeking a dynamic data leader to modernise our data environment and enable data-driven decision-making in Johannesburg. This permanent, hybrid role offers a competitive package and a reference NG61549.

You will drive the data platform roadmap, lead cloud architecture and data integration, modernise legacy systems and establish API-driven environments, with governance, AI enablement and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 7 qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years experience in data engineering, data platforms or enterprise architecture.
• Proven experience in enterprise data platform modernisation and cloud technologies.
• Experience leading technical delivery teams.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Advantageous: NQF Level 8 qualification, cloud or architecture certifications, and AI/analytics exposure.
