Introduction

We are looking for a seasoned General Manager with a strong financial management background to take the lead in a fast-paced wholesale or retail business.

The ideal candidate will be operationally hands-on, commercially sharp, and confident in driving strategic growth, profitability, and efficiency across the organisation.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations and align them with the company's strategic and financial goals
  • Lead and manage department heads across finance, operations, sales, and logistics
  • Take ownership of financial reporting, planning, and compliance
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure efficient procurement, inventory control, and cost management practices
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and service providers
  • Support business development initiatives and expansion plans
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture with clear accountability
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Minimum of 8 years' senior management experience, with a strong focus on financial oversight, business operations, and strategic execution
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (an MBA or postgraduate qualification would be advantageous)
  • Demonstrated experience managing P&L, cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proven background in wholesale or retail sectors — must understand high-volume, fast-moving operational environments
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience overseeing multi-functional teams
  • High level of commercial acumen and ability to translate financial insight into actionable business decisions
  • Technologically proficient, with good knowledge of modern business systems and reporting tools
