Description:
- Ensure comprehensive customer service in store.
- Merchandising of stock, shelf price labelling and housekeeping within designated area of responsibility.
Key Performance Areas
- Customer Service – Advise and assist customers on products and queries; assist with and resolve customer complaints.
- Merchandising Standards – Bulk stock area to be merchandised safely according to store layout plan; ensure your area of responsibility is fully merchandised according to planograms.
- Housekeeping – Ensure the area is free of obstacles, stock is merchandised immediately after being received, and customers can move safely; correct shelf price labelling; ensure checklist completion for canteen, toilet/shower schedules.
- Safety (OHSA) – Compliance with safety gear, customer and staff safety; safe stock merchandising for customers and colleagues; report any discrepancies to the Store Manager; manage stock loss and report damaged stock.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 10 (NQF 3) with 1 year related work experience, or Grade 12 without related work experience.
- Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area.
- Valid South African ID or work permit.
- Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to work under pressure.
