Deka Minas (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to craft AI and GenAI workflows for strategic decision-making in the banking sector. You will design and implement agentic AI solutions, perform prompt engineering, and ensure data quality across complex platforms.

The role requires strong analytics, Python, SQL, and data integration skills, plus governance and security awareness. Hybrid work arrangements offer flexibility while delivering impactful AI projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in AI, data engineering, or related fields.
• Strong skills in analytics, Python, SQL, and data integration.
• Experience with prompt engineering and designing AI workflows.
• Knowledge of AI governance, risk management, and security best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design AI/GenAI solutions and agentic AI workflows to meet business needs.
• Perform prompt engineering and data quality assessments to ensure optimal model performance.
• Develop analytics and risk scoring models for enhanced decision accuracy.
• Integrate Python, SQL, and APIs into enterprise platforms for seamless functionality.
• Manage AI governance, including model risk, privacy, and security protocols.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and engage stakeholders throughout projects.
• Create comprehensive documentation, training materials, and reporting dashboards to support adoption and understanding
