Khonology is seeking a seasoned Linux Systems Administrator in Rosebank to install, configure, and manage Linux servers for GemStone/S environments. You’ll ensure stability, security, and performance across dev, test, and production, collaborating with development and infrastructure teams.

You will oversee deployment pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Ansible), monitor systems with DataDog, and contribute to automation, security, and incident response while maintaining meticulous documentation.

Qualificações

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Linux certifications are advantageous.
• 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience.
• 2+ years supporting enterprise application platforms.
• Experience administering mission-critical production environments.
• Experience supporting GemStone/S environments is highly advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Configure, and maintain Linux operating systems across development, test, prelive, and production environments.
• Coordinate OS upgrades, patching, and security updates with I&O and stakeholders.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, groups, and access controls.
• Monitor and maintain storage, file systems, network services, and system services.
• Troubleshoot server, operating system, and infrastructure issues.
• Monitor GemStone/S environments and processes; upgrade with senior devs.
• Support application deployments and environment configuration changes (Jenkins, Git, Ansible).
• Monitor server health, application availability, disk usage, memory usage, and performance.
• Enforce Linux security standards and best practices; manage SSH access, certificates, and firewalls.
• Develop and test backup/recovery procedures and runbooks.
• Maintain automation scripts and CI/CD tooling integration.
• Document architectures, configurations, and runbooks.
