You will optimise plant performance, perform root cause analyses, manage modifications, and advise operations and maintenance on governance and design standards.

Qualifications

• BSc Eng/BEng in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering (NQF 8, 480 credits).
• Completed engineering graduate training programme or two years' related engineering experience.
• Registered as an ECSA Candidate Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Optimize allocated plant performance and reliability.
• Identify, investigate and resolve problematic plant issues.
• Perform root cause analyses and implement sustainable engineering solutions.
• Manage plant modifications and engineering improvements.
• Execute and coordinate engineering projects.
• Provide technical advice and support to operations and maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, statutory requirements and governance processes.
• Conduct engineering assessments and performance evaluations of gas turbines and associated plant systems.
• Provide engineering support across the Peaking Operating Unit's generation portfolio, including operating plant, new build assets and associated technologies, as required to achieve business objectives.
