Job summary

Job description

The Diocesan School for Girls, situated in Makhanda (Grahamstown), Eastern Cape, invites applications for the position of FUNDRAISING SPECIALIST.

The successful candidate will have:
  • at least a bachelor’s degree in project management, marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • at least 5 years’ experience in fundraising, preferably in an education setting.
  • self-motivation and the adaptability to move seamlessly from engaging high-profile donors to managing the door at flagship events.
  • high level of integrity.
  • excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • proficient communication skills, both oral and written.
  • anaylitical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • strong management, reporting, and computer skills.
  • results-orientated with a strong work ethic.
  • creativity and innovation in fundraising approaches.

The successful candidate must also have:
  • knowledge of DSG and its ethos – being a DSG Old Girl will be beneficial.
  • knowledge and understanding of project management principles.
  • knowledge and understanding of managing campaigns.
  • ability to work independently and part of a team.
