  • Completed SAICA Articles mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant post-articles experience.

  • Liaise with internal departments and external auditors.
  • Draft technical accounting opinions on complex transactions.
  • Provide expertise on IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, and GRAP standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate transaction processing.

A leading asset management firm is recruiting for a dynamic Fund Financial Accountant to join their Investment Finance division. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of financial reporting and strategic support within a high-performing, purpose-driven team.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, sound analytical capability, and a passion for delivering high-quality financial insights that guide impactful investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with internal departments, external auditors, clients, and regulatory bodies
  • Draft technical accounting opinions on complex transactions
  • Provide expertise on IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, and GRAP standards
  • Assist in IFRS conversion and reconciliation projects
  • Provide industry-specific accounting advice
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions on reporting systems
  • Clear reconciliations in line with policy and procedure guidelines
  • Accurately account for corporate actions and verify asset prices
  • Conduct analytical reviews of reconciliation discrepancies
  • Prepare timely portfolio and ad hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Mentor and guide fund accountants as needed
  • Support the management of audits (internal and external)
  • Authorise unlisted investment payments
Key Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Honours Degree in Accounting (or equivalent)
  • Completed SAICA Articles
  • Professional designation : CA(SA) or CGMA
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant post-articles experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, GRAP, and financial reporting frameworks
  • Previous experience in asset management or investment finance is advantageous
