Job summary

Placements24 in Soweto invites motivated individuals to join our client’s Trainee Artisans program. This comprehensive apprenticeship covers electrical, mechanical, and fabrication trades, offering hands-on training and classroom instruction under experienced tradespeople.

You will learn to read drawings, handle tools safely, perform maintenance, and contribute to real projects. Requirements include Grade 12 with strong Maths and Science, good health, and a strong desire to learn.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, with strong marks in Mathematics and Science.
• Willingness to commit to the full duration of the apprenticeship program.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively in on-the-job training across designated trade areas.
• Learn and apply safe work practices and procedures relevant to chosen trade.
• Assist qualified artisans in performing maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals pertinent to the trade.
• Operate various tools and machinery under direct supervision.
• Maintain tools and equipment, and ensure a clean and organized worksite.
