Job summary

Opensource is seeking an experienced engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications and microservices. You will analyze business requirements and translate them into robust cloud-native solutions, with a strong emphasis on RESTful APIs and scalable architectures.

You will participate in architecture reviews, contribute to deployment automation, and support CI/CD pipelines while collaborating in Agile ceremonies and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise microservices.
• Strong RESTful API design and consumption skills.
• Hands-on backend and frontend development across modern stacks.
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Familiarity with cloud services and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications and microservices.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into robust solutions.
• Develop cloud-native, scalable software solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions and solution design reviews.
• Conduct code reviews for quality and maintainability.
• Create and run automated tests and resolve defects.

• Provide third-level production support as needed.
• Produce technical and system documentation aligned with ISO standards.
• Present technical solutions to Product Owners and Tech Leaders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Essential Skills

• Strong experience with Angular 18+, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.
• Proficiency in Java 21+, Quarkus 3+, Maven, JUnit, and Mockito.
• Experience working with Kafka and MongoDB (NoSQL) databases.
• Strong understanding of Microservice Architecture, including designing and implementing distributed, scalable applications.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Cloud services.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices, deployment automation, and modern DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with Git, version control best practices, and collaborative Git workflows.
• Front-end and end-to-end testing experience using Jest and Playwright
