What You Will Do

• API Design & Data Engineering: Architect versioned REST APIs (OpenAPI) secured via OAuth2/OIDC, while managing PostgreSQL schemas, complex query optimisation, indexing strategies, and zero-downtime data migrations.
• Operational Web Application Development: Build responsive, high-performance web front ends in React and TypeScript featuring component-driven design, efficient server-state caching, and clean review workflows over large datasets.
• Distributed Services & Pipeline Architecture: Design and build asynchronous, event-driven ingestion pipelines on GCP using Node.js/TypeScript (NestJS), handling backpressure, dead-letter replays, and exactly-once write idempotency under heavy load.
• Inference Orchestration & AI Integration: Orchestrate long-running machine learning inference jobs (LLMs, detection models) behind schema-first contracts, implementing confidence thresholding for human review and tracking cost-per-item telemetry.
• Observability & CI/CD Delivery: Implement end-to-end telemetry (OpenTelemetry, structured logs), build containerised infrastructure via Docker/IaC, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines with staged release strategies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Machine Learning Engineers on inference contracts, Mobile teams on device APIs, and Product Owners to translate complex operational needs into resilient software solutions.
