Job summary

MKD, a Cape Town accounting practice, is seeking a reliable Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day accounting and tax functions. You will maintain client records, process transactions, and help with reconciliations, ensuring financial information is complete and up to date.

Preference will be given to candidates with SAIPA articles and experience across the full accounting cycle in an accounting firm. Permanent, full-time role based in Cape Town with standard hours.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Experience across the full accounting cycle is preferred.
• SAIPA articles would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client accounting records and process day-to-day transactions.
• Assist with monthly management accounts and month-end close.
• Prepare VAT reconciliations and VAT201 submissions.
