Job summary

iOCO is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join the frontend engineering team in Stellenbosch. You will contribute to modern frontend applications using React and TypeScript, leveraging established component libraries and design systems.

The role emphasizes pragmatic, quality-focused development, with opportunities to work on shared UI capabilities and AI-assisted tooling while aligning with engineering practices and team collaboration.

Qualifications

2–5 years of frontend software engineering experience.
Experience with React and TypeScript in professional environments.
Experience with component libraries or design systems (e.g., MUI).
Experience with Git workflows, CI/CD and deployment processes.
Experience writing automated tests.
Ability to create clear technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain modern frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
Build reusable frontend components with established libraries and design systems.
Translate requirements into production-ready frontend solutions.
Follow coding standards and testing practices.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to CI/CD processes.
Contribute to shared component libraries and design systems.
Collaborate with Designers, QA, and Product Owners.
