Front of House Manager – The Mussel Monger & DĀSHI

The My Place Group— brand owners of The Mussel Monger (Oyster, Mussel & Wine Bar) and DĀSHI (Asian Tapas Bar) — is looking for passionate, driven Front of House Managers to join our growing team.

We welcome both experienced leaders and ambitious up‑and‑coming managers ready to take the next step in their careers.

The core focus of this role is front‑of‑house service, delivering on our mantra:

You’ll be supported by an experienced operations team that handles most administrative functions, allowing you to focus on service excellence, guest experience, and team leadership.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the Team: Motivate, guide, and support your crew to deliver consistent, top‑quality service.
  • Operations: Oversee daily operations, including service flow, food execution, stock control, hygiene, and SOP adherence.
  • Customer Engagement: Be the face of the restaurant — greet guests, resolve queries, and ensure every customer leaves delighted.
  • Sales & Reporting: Drive revenue and track performance against targets.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards in food, cocktails, and overall presentation.
Requirements
  • Must reside in Cape Town and be able to work at our Sea Point or Riverlands outlets
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends, public holidays, and up to 12‑hour shifts
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in food, hospitality, or retail leadership
  • Proven track record in store operations and achieving sales targets
  • Familiarity with food safety, hygiene, and inventory management
  • A positive, proactive leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and leads by example

Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent

Pay: R15,000 – R35,000 per month made up of base and key performance incentives.

Experience: Food & Hospitality: 2 years (Required Minimum)

Location: Cape Town City centre, Western Cape (Required)
