Job description

Location : Cape Town, southern Suburbs

Reports to : Restaurant Manager

Team : 30+ Front of House professionals – Waitrons, Bartenders, Runners, Hosts, and Events Coordinator

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Assistant Front of House Manager who understands that true hospitality is an art form — the balance between precision and warmth, presence and restraint.

You’ll help lead a talented team in delivering an experience defined by authenticity, connection, and excellence. From service flow to guest engagement, your touch will be seen and felt in every detail.

This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in elegant, fast-paced environments, where standards are high, expectations are clear, and every service is an opportunity to impress.

Your Role

Lead and mentor your team to deliver service that is refined, intuitive, and consistently aligned with the restaurant’s standards.

Maintain impeccable presentation across all areas — from table settings to team demeanor.

Manage rosters, labour costs, and operational flow with foresight and balance.

Cultivate genuine guest relationships that turn first visits into lasting loyalty.

Work collaboratively with management and culinary teams to achieve excellence in every aspect of the operation.

Oversee daily cash-ups, stock control, reservations, and compliance with precision.

Uphold a culture of calm professionalism — even when the floor is at full tempo.

What You Bring

Proven experience in a leadership role within fine or premium dining.

A natural leader who commands respect through consistency, clarity, and care.

An exceptional eye for detail, service flow, and guest experience.

Strong business acumen — you understand the financial side of service as well as the human one.

A genuine passion for mentoring others and fostering a high-performing team culture.

The ability to stay composed, present, and solution-focused under pressure.

Our Ethos

We operate by a Playbook built on five principles :

  • Consider the whole.
  • Take accountability.
  • Embody professional excellence.
  • Invite feedback.
  • Build on lessons learned.

We believe excellence grows from authenticity, and that an energised, supported team is the foundation of exceptional guest experiences.

What’s in It for You

A leadership role within a respected, forward-thinking hospitality group.

The opportunity to shape the guest experience in a venue that values craft and care.

A culture that celebrates contribution, growth, and genuine connection.

Competitive remuneration and a pathway to further leadership.
