Job summary

An independent schooling provider is seeking a part-time Foundation Phase Teacher at Curro Academy Parkdene in Boksburg, starting March 2026. The candidate will be responsible for teaching and coordinating subjects in line with the Curro curriculum. Key duties include lesson planning, classroom management, assessments, and extracurricular activities. Minimum qualifications include a BEd or PGCE, 2 years’ experience, and SACE registration required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a foundation phase teacher.
• Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum.
• Willing and able to work extended hours.
• SACE-registered.
• Clear criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Perform teaching duties, including planning lessons and measuring academic achievement.
• Review, implement, monitor and adjust the term plan.
• Manage the classroom design and set-up.
• Manage assessments and interventions.
• Plan and manage homework per grade.
• Plan and manage extramural activities.
