Job summary

An educational institution in Cape Town is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to inspire young learners aged 3-9. The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor of Education degree in Music and be competent in teaching beginner Piano and flute. Responsibilities include delivering engaging group music lessons, and assisting with choir and performances. South African citizens/residents only. Job description

This Foundation Phase post, requires the services of a special individual with a love for young learners including Pre-Primary, to establish an interest in culture and incorporating music into the daily programme.

The successful candidate must:

  • Be in possession of Full SACE registration
  • Hold a Bachelor of Education degree in Music
  • Be competent teaching beginner Piano to young children aged 4-9
  • Be able to teach flute
  • Be able to deliver engaging group music lessons to young children aged 3-9
  • Assist with choir, performances and productions
  • Have the ability to work in an energetic, dynamic and vibrant environment
  • Be competent in the use of Google Workspace and Apple technology (an advantage)
  • Hold a Police clearance certificate
  • Hold a Child Protection Register clearance
  • Hold a National Sexual Offenders Register clearance (or Proof of receipt of Application)
