About the Role

Our client is seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator with leadership potential to join their dynamic team in Richards Bay . This position requires not only excellent forklift operation skills but also the ability to guide and supervise a small team during shifts, ensuring efficient movement of goods within the logistics and warehousing facility. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts safely and effectively, as well as assisting with operational oversight to maintain productivity and safety standards. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute directly to the operational efficiency of the warehouse, ensuring smooth material flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, load, and unload goods.
• Supervise and direct the work of other forklift operators and warehouse staff during assigned shifts.
• Ensure that all forklift operations are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
• Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
• Assist in managing the flow of goods, ensuring materials are positioned correctly for operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse.

Requirements

• Valid forklift operator license and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Ability to lead and provide guidance to a small team.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and material handling best practices.
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks as needed and the ability to lift up to 25 kg.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
