We are currently looking for a Forklift driver/ operator to work for one of the retail clients based in Cato Ridge (KZN), close to Hammersdale.

  • Grade 10, Grade 12 (Matric) preferred.
  • Valid Forklift Operator Certificate and License (SANS 1888 compliant).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in operating a forklift within a retail or warehousing environment.
  • Physical ability to perform manual handling when necessary.
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures and pallet racking systems.
  • Understanding of stock rotation principles.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy for reading documentation and capturing quantities.
  • High focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong safety awareness and hazard identification capability.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklift and material handling equipment in compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
  • Load, offload, stack, and relocate pallets, cages, and goods within designated storage areas.
  • Conduct pre-inspection checks on forklift equipment and report any faults immediately.
  • Assist with stock rotation, replenishment, and staging of stock for dispatch.
  • Ensure accurate and timely movement of goods according to picking and receiving documentation.
  • Maintain clean and safe working areas, following housekeeping and hygiene requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse teams to meet daily operational targets.
  • Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Quality, and Compliance policies.
  • Support inventory counts and cycle checks where required.
