Job summary

PwC South Africa is seeking a forensic analytics professional to support investigations and related assignments, analyse data to identify anomalies, collect, document and assess evidence, and assist in evaluating fraud, corruption and irregularities.

You will contribute to draft reports and appendices, support research, due diligence and proposal development, participate in engagements, and assist with proactive fraud risk initiatives, requiring 1–3 years' relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in relevant fields (e.g. Forensic Accounting, Accounting, Internal Audit, Law, Risk Management)
• 1–3 years of relevant experience
• Interest in pursuing forensic-related certifications (e.g. CFE, FP(SA))

Responsibilities

• Support forensic investigations and related assignments
• Analyse financial and other data to identify anomalies
• Collect, document, and assess evidence
• Assist in evaluating fraud, corruption, and irregularities
• Contribute to draft reports and appendices
• Support research, due diligence, and proposal development
• Participate in engagements, including supporting or presenting work where required
• Support the delivery of proactive forensic and fraud risk initiatives
• Perform document collection, indexing, scanning, filing, and pagination
• Maintain accurate case files and working papers
• Assist with interview preparation, note-taking, and transcription
• Ensure confidentiality and auditability of all records
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours, where required
