Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a food & beverage client in Gauteng Midrand. You will inspect, maintain, and record preventive/corrective work orders, aiming for minimal downtime.

Responsibilities include 5S organization, root cause analyses, and providing operator training. Requires N6 Electro-Mechanical or Millwright trade, 2–3 years in F&B maintenance, and MS Excel/CMMS proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Must hold N6 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or trade qualification.
  • Trade-tested Millwright with 2–3 years of maintenance experience in F&B.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CMMS for maintenance records.

Responsibilities

  • Safely execute all maintenance work.
  • Inspect, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, record in CMMS.
  • Provide feedback on planned and unplanned maintenance.
  • Prepare detailed equipment breakdown reports.
  • Organise workspace, docs and toolboxes per 5S.
  • Carry out root cause failure analyses and corrective actions.
  • Support operators with technical guidance and training.
  • Join technical improvement teams and propose changes.
  • Record all activities in the ERP system.
  • Contribute to engineering and local projects.
