What We’re Looking For

The ideal Host will have:

• A valid South African ID or work permit.
• A Matric certificate (Grade 12).
• At least 2 years recent experience in a hotel or upmarket restaurant as a host or waiter.
• A welcoming personality, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence in handling enquiries and reservations while keeping things running smoothly.
• A professional appearance, reliability and punctuality.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• A team spirit and a passion for making every guest feel truly special.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome and seat guests with warmth and confidence, ensuring smooth table rotation.
• Manage reservations and coordinate seating plans to keep service flowing.
• Provide menus, introduce specials, and support the waitron team where needed.
• Handle guest queries, requests, and feedback with care and professionalism.
• Maintain a polished host stand and uphold presentation standards in the dining area.
• Assist colleagues during busy periods to ensure seamless service.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and hotel service standards.
