Job summary

A leading FMCG company in East London is seeking a full-time Sales Representative to manage client relationships and achieve sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a Matric qualification and previous experience in the FMCG sector, especially with frozen food or bakery products. Responsibilities include presenting products, acquiring new customers, and organizing training sessions. A driver's license and valid passport are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Previous FMCG experience preferably with Frozen Food, Bakery, or Foodservice.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Valid Passport essential for travel.

Responsibilities

  • Present the Company's range of frozen non-dairy and bakery products to clients.
  • Acquire new customers and build lasting relationships.
  • Achieve sales targets.
  • Implement sales strategies and ensure product quality.
  • Organize training sessions for customers.
  • Negotiate at management level.
  • Regular reporting on market trends and opportunities.
  • Communicate price increases to customers.
  • Participate in trade shows.
  • Assist with monthly stock takes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Present the Company's range of frozen non-dairy and bakery products to our clients and ensure that all our products are listed correctly with the correct pricing.
  • Acquire new customers and build lasting relationships with them.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets.
  • Participate in and implement our sales strategies by helping our customers to build their businesses by continuously checking on the quality of their products on merchandising techniques and product innovation.
  • Organize training sessions for our customers with the Company's training facility.
  • Negotiate at management level.
  • Ensure regular reporting on calls to customers, market trends, activities of the opposition and new opportunities for us to do business.
  • Ensure that price increases are communicated in the proper manner to our customers.
  • Participate actively in trade shows.
  • Assist with monthly stock takes in any division of the Company.
  • Execute any other reasonable duty that is given to you by any member of the management team.
